Quick Start

Download & Install

Run the installer — installs to AppData, no admin rights needed. Launches the first-run wizard automatically.

Authenticate with Twitch

A browser window opens for Twitch Device Code auth. Grants chat read/write permissions. No tokens stored locally.

First-Run Wizard

Set your channel name, currency name, and language. Accept the EULA and optionally join the Discord.

Add OBS Browser Sources

Point your OBS Browser Sources at the bot's local URLs (see below). They auto-show and auto-hide during races.

Launch Your Sim & Go Live

Start iRacing or LMU. The bot auto-detects the session, opens betting at green flag, and settles at checkered.

FAQ

Is BetterBetBot free?
Full 30-day free trial — no credit card, no account. After that, subscribe to joehalton on Twitch for continued access. One sub, full access, no tiers.
Does it work with Le Mans Ultimate?
Yes. LMU support is in beta — it works but is less tested than iRacing. Install the rF2 shared memory plugin in LMU's Bin64/Plugins folder. Auto-detected.
Do my viewers need to install anything?
No. Everything works through Twitch chat commands. Viewers just type !bet to participate.
Can I use it for team races?
Yes. Team racing is fully supported — results follow the team, incidents aggregate across driver swaps.
Does it use real money?
No. The bot uses a fake currency with a configurable name. No real money at any point.
What port does the overlay run on?
Default is 8090. All overlays are served locally at http://localhost:8090/overlay/... — configurable in Settings.
Can I run overlays on a second PC?
Yes. Enable "Bind to LAN" in Settings, then use your PC's local IP instead of localhost.
